Essentially, NFL Football News is just a feed reader for the football section of Yahoo!'s Sports channel. However, it does provide an excellent, compact way to browse and view the latest stories. The user interface is neatly divided into four tabs, which include the entire news feed, sections, standings, and favorited items.
One of the great things about NFL Football News is that it allows you to keep tabs on the latest news for one particular team, either from the AFC or the NFC. The Standings section will show you the latest scores, as well as the current standings in both leagues.
By default, NFL Football News will only display the latest 10 stories in each channel, although you can adjust this in the settings menu up to a maximum of 50.
Other neat features include the ability to mark stories as favorites, and to share news from NFL Football News with others via email and social networks with just a couple of taps.
NFL Football News lacks any special content such as video clips, photo galleries, or even a live update console like the one in ESPN ScoreCenter.
